Ready to rescue at any time

*Destiny Rescue is one of the three ministries that are being supported
through this year's Bike Challenge pledges.  Below is one story of a child rescued through this ministry.  (Please note: names and details have been changed to protect the identity of the children.)
An average of 7 out of every 10 children rescued receive Christ as their Savior!

Nahsom's mom was introduced to the life of prostitution at the age of 12 years.  At 13, she gave birth to Nahsom.  Heavily into drugs and prostitution, she spent a lot of time in and out of jail.   Nahsom was cared for by her mom's boyfriend while his mom was in prison.  He had a live in girlfriend (Nahsom's "step-mother.")  Shortly after Nahsom turned 12, his mom's boyfriend died.  The step-mother", who was also a drug addict let it be known that Nahsom was for sale by the hour and started bringing customers to their home where they would have sex with Nahsom and pay the step mother.   Nahsom managed to escape from her step mother and sought help from a familiar face in her village.  This trusted couple took Nahsom into one of their back rooms and locked her in there with 2 other girls of about the same age (12 years old.)

Nahsom was now in a back room brothel, where her and the other girls were raped multiple times every day!   One day, Nahsom managed to sneak out of the door that a customer had left open, climb out a side window and run away.   This time she went to a female teacher she knew from when she had attended school.  This teacher is a part of the Destiny Rescue Network and she contacted us immediately.    Within 5 hours of being given the information, the Destiny Rescue team had Nahsom in their custody.  Nahsom was placed in one of their rescue homes where she has reeived a lot of one on one care.  They enrolled her in school.    Nahsom  expressed an interest in Destiny Rescue's production house, where they train girls in the art of jewelry making and sewing.   She is now in her 2nd year and doing very well...she is living with several other rescued girls in a semi independent home in the community.   All the girls in this home have successfully been re-integrated back into normal Thai society.  Destiny Rescue was also able to rescue Nahsom's little eight year old sister.  Although they do not believe she was sexually abused before she was rescued, they believe it would have only been a matter of time.
