On Tuesday, July 17th, eighteen bicyclists will depart from Cincinnati for the 400 mile journey. Why are these men choosing to take vacation time from work, and time away from their family and friends to ride an average of 100 miles a day for 4 1/2 days?
Don Williams, one of the riders is "Riding with the knowledge that each mile is a step in rescuing someone precious to God."
Dave Bradshaw says "I am riding to experience the time with other guys, and see what God will accomplish through the Bike Challenge."
Rick Brower, M.D. hopes to "inspire people to get some exercise and actively participate in the work of God's Kingdom."
These are just a few of the reasons these men have chosen to ride but their dedication to serving their Lord and Savior is key. The bible states in Micah 6:8 "No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." (NLT)
These men are biking humbly with their God to do justice and love mercy for children in need!
