Serving Spree: Taste and See

Taste and see that the Lord is good…

From Psalm 34:8

To get a flavor for God’s work, we need to taste it.

Sometimes the best way to understand what God is doing through a ministry is to visit and get a sense of its heartbeat.

Each CCC Local Outreach ministry partner has its own flavor.

For example, Rahab Ministries seeks to reach, rescue and redeem women ensnared in sex trafficking.  To better understand how Rahab works to bring the Kingdom of God to these broken women, a group of Christ Community Chapel people recently visited Rahab’s house in Akron.

Refreshments were served, tasted and enjoyed.  However, the main course was an explanation by a dedicated Rahab worker of exactly how the ministry approaches women in the name of Jesus.  Visitors also came to understand how these women can be transformed by the life saving message of the Gospel.

Why not do some tasting of your own?

You could easily make a visit to a local ministry partner, and gain insight into their Kingdom work.  Start by taking a look at the www.kingdom.ccchapel.com website to see which ministries might resonate with you, your family or your community group.  You might further your understanding by contacting Barbara Ammirati of the Local Outreach team at Barbara.ammirati@ccchapel.com .  The best way to learn where you might help is to taste and see what our Lord is doing!
