Thanksgiving Baskets Drive Over the Top!

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful...

From Hebrews 12:28

Thankfulness characterizes saving faith.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, Christians are called to show gratitude for the grace, love and forgiveness of God.

Members and friends at the CCC Hudson Campus committed to donate food to fill 1,000 Thanksgiving Baskets.  Other campuses also responded strongly.

Thankfulness in action is evidence of saving faith.

Scripture tells us faith without works is dead.  Works are not a means to salvation, but a reflection of gratitude for God’s love toward forgiven sinners.

Cheerful givers at CCC's Aurora Campus celebrate this labor of love.

This is to thank Christ Community Chapel members and friends for the outpouring of love to the less fortunate evidenced in the commitment to donate enough food to fill over 1,550 Thanksgiving Baskets in 2016, exceeding the goal of 1,500 baskets.

With each basket containing enough food to feed 10 people, that is 15,500 meals donated!

Collection of filled baskets is Monday, November 21st!

This is the date for bringing filled baskets to the Christ Community Chapel Hudson Campus for collection and distribution to needy families.  From 2 to 6 PM on the 21st, volunteers will receive the baskets, ensure they are well packed, and stage them for pickup by Local Outreach ministry partners who have identified needy families in their areas.

Baskets of donated food are checked for proper packing before delivery.

Thanks to all who have helped continue this effort to be the hands and feet of Jesus to others!

Finished baskets are arranged in groups for different ministry partners to pick up and distribute to the needy in the Akron area.
