Why not me…feeding the needy in Jesus’ name?

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? … “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
From Matthew 25

Jesus has compassion for the needy.

If His followers provide for those in need, they do it for Jesus.

God's people with overflowing hearts, signing up for empty totes.

 Who are the needy?

All of us. Romans Chapter three reminds us that “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”  As we are reminded of the magnitude of our sin, and the greatness of God’s grace and forgiveness, we respond to the needs of others in the name of Jesus.

The abounding of God's grace goes on...

...and on...

...and on.

How can I show compassion?

This coming weekend is the last chance to join the Thanksgiving Basket drive!

By taking part in Christ Community Chapel’s Thanksgiving Basket drive.  You can pick up a basket (tote) to fill with donated food to benefit a needy family in the Akron area.  This coming weekend (November 21/22) you can sign out a basket at a CCC campus. Filled baskets will be collected on Monday, November 23, between 2 and 6 PM at CCC’s Hudson Campus.  You can join our effort to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 1,500 families of neighbors in need, in the name of Jesus Christ.
