Why not me – serving by proclaiming the Gospel!

And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:15

Jesus is looking for ambassadors to share the Gospel.

All Christians are called to be part of the priesthood of all believers. This includes living out, as well as verbally proclaiming the Gospel.

I hear the call. What should I do?

You can prayerfully consider this: there is an immediate need for men and women to help conduct small group Bible studies with young men and women at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center in Akron. It’s for one hour on Sunday morning, once a month. For further information, please email Duncan Othen of Christ Community Chapel’s Local Outreach team at duncanothen@hotmail.com .

Living out The Story: The grace of giving!

…see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

From 2 Corinthians 8:7

God, the Ultimate Giver, wants His people to be givers.

If we know the story of God’s grace and forgiveness in the Gospel, we will acknowledge all that God has done for us. In turn, we will be motivated to pour the overflow of His love into the lives of others.

A simple opportunity to give and serve. *

Can you make this simple for me?

Yes. Christ Community Chapel’s Local Outreach team has its eyes out for simple opportunities for God’s people to serve and give!

A simple giving opportunity!

As an individual, or as a Community Group, you can give candy, stickers, crayons, small games or toys, little stuffed animals and the like to First Glance’s Teen/Young Moms program for their children.  These donations are for First Glance’s Easter Boutique, where Teen Moms/Young Moms spend the ‘baby dollars’ they have earned for items to fill Easter baskets. Donations do not need to be new…gently used items are gladly accepted.

The Simple Opportunities to Serve container is just off the Atrium of the CCC Hudson Campus

Items need to be received by Sunday, March 20th. To donate, please label your items ‘First Glance/Teen Moms’ and place them in the Simple Opportunities to Serve container in the Hudson Campus hallway next to East Hall. Your support can help young single moms and moms-to-be as First Glance provides them with Christ-centered, loving relationships full of God’s grace.

For more information, please contact Barbara Ammirati of the Local Outreach team: Barbara.ammirati@ccchapel.com .
